MY FINAL PRODUCT

Producing the music

•       I recorded both the lyrics and the backing track straight onto the computer using a zoom.

•       I recorded them separately and attached them together using Cubase.

•       If I was to do it again I would use a different programme to produce it as I found the use of Cubase hard.

Shooting the video

•       The video took a week to film.

•       I used the same location throughout the film.

•       I used the same characters.

•       I produced 3/4 short shots, that I could use as a replayed sequence for the video.

Editing the video.

•       I spent a week editing and producing the final video, I used 3 videos and replayed them for 1 minute of the film after each time the film was faster, after 3 minutes the story continues.

•       I used a black and white effect for my video, this creates an affect of sadness.

Managment

Tuesday 11th october- Tuesday 25th idea planning and working out the final idea

During this time i had decided on the product i was making and had started to plan what i would have to do and how much time i would have to complete the different sections.

Tuesday 1st november- completed project perposal form

On this day i completed my product proposal form and put forward my final decisions.

Tuesday 8th november- Tuesday 29th Time plan

During this time i created a timetable so that i could make sure all sections where done ontime and i was aware how long i had to complete them.

Tuesday  29th november- Tuesday 6th december Presentation

During this time i completed and presented a presentation that told my audience what the product was and the timings in which each seperate sction would be completed, this way my audience where able to keep track on the progress of the product.

Tuesday 13th December- Tuesday 3rd January song writing

During this period of time i created and wrote out the final copy of the song that would be recorded for the final piece, this piece of music will be the backing track for my music video.

Tuesday 10th January- Tuesday 17th january storyboarding

During this week i created several storyboards with several different ideas for my music video, i then decided on the last day which storyboard i was going to use and i worked along side my timetable to work out what sections would be filmed when and what locations i would need.

Tuesday 24th January- Tuesday 14th february recording soundtrack

Within this time i recorded the backing track and vocals for my music video, i found this section the hardest to complete as it is not a strong subject for me, but once completed i began to find the subject easier and have now learnt how to use the software to a reasonable standard.

Wednesday  15th febuary- Monday 20th february videoing

Within this time i filmed and edited my final piece, i found it difficult at times when i had to find the different locations and when my equipment ran out of battery, but once fixed the process became easy and i came across no other programmes.
